Mic Wallace

Mic has been passionately involved in the tennis industry for over 25 years. Most recently, he was the Director of Tennis at Walnut Creek Country Club in Goldsboro and the Assistant Director/Head Professional at Chapel Hill Country Club.

Mic has worked with all levels of players and ages. He has worked with many USTA district, sectional, and nationally ranked juniors and coached many players who have gone on to play NCAA college tennis. Mic was also the head assistant coach at the Baltimore USTA Competitive Training Center, coached high school tennis in Baltimore and Pennsylvania, and was named 2005 Private School Coach of the Year. His high school teams won multiple conference and individual titles and advanced to state tournaments.

As a player, Mic was a top-ranked junior in the Middle States, played in the WV HS State tournament for 3 years, reaching the quarterfinals in doubles, played NCAA Div. II Tennis #1 singles and doubles for West Liberty University, and was ranked Men’s #1 in Mid-Atlantic and Middle States Men’s Open Doubles and top 20 in Singles. He was also nationally ranked in singles and doubles in men’s 35s. He continues to play competitively in the USTA and WTT leagues.

Mic was named the 2017 and 2022 USPTA North Carolina Pro of the Year as well as the 2013 USPTA Pennsylvania Pro of the Year. He also serves as a USPTA-certified mentor for upcoming tennis professionals.

Mic is available Monday through Saturday for private or group lessons.
